**Please review adoption costs and policies on our home page before inquiring about a horse. Thanks!** String of Diamonds, also known as Emma, arrived at Circle P Sanctuary on December 28, 2008. Since her arrival she has been learning to relax and is getting use to her new surroundings. She is truly 18 years young, has lots of energy and does behave well in hand. She stands close to 17.3hh and is such a gorgeous mare. She has quite the resume as she started her career young racing at the track, but that never seem to suit her as she did not have the speed necessary to win. After her career ended in racing, she went on to jumping where she competed at top level events in Florida. Later, Emma became a schoolmaster at a riding facility in Ohio. Emma has had some chiropractic work since she arrived at Circle P Sanctuary and is moving better. ***Update 3/14/09***Emma is doing great in our rehabilitation program. She is currently being ridden once to twice a week. She is very intelligent and is a perfectionist. She knows leg yields, turn on the haunches, flying changes and lots more. She would do best with someone that may not have the time to ride as often as they'd like too. Unlike a young horse that requires a lot of time and patients Emma isn't going to be a challenge to ride if only ridden a couple times per week. She is actually so well educated she could teach a Intermediate rider a thing or two. ***Update 5/21/09*** Emma is still only working a couple times a week but continues to show improvement. She is moving forward stretching and extending beautifully under saddle. Emma continues to amaze us at all she knows. Emma is also relaxed enough now to enjoy all day turnout with several other horses. Please check back for more pics after the holiday weekend.
