Pony - Medium - Adult - Male - Horse - Jack
Description
Jack was part of a neglect case and was moved around in foster care for several years till the courts awarded the local humane society custody of the horse. Jack is thought to be a halflinger cross. He is a short and sturdy measuring in at just around 14 hh. He is strong enough to support an adult rider, however he is not currently broke to ride. He has been used in a natural horsemanship clinic and preformed very well. He seems to understand concepts such as Monty Robert's Join Up and Parelli Exercises like the Yo-Yo. He is egar to learn and enjoys the company of people. He is approx. 5 yrs old and is in good health with wonderful confirmation. Jack will need an experienced horse person or someone willing to work with a trainer. ***Update 8/20/09*** We currently have volunteers working with Jack in hand and he is doing great. He really seems to respond well to kids but will still require additional training before being put under saddle. ***Update 9/27/09*** The ground work has paid off with this little guy. We are ready to start working him from the ground saddled. He doesn't flinch or move at all when you lay across his back, jump up and down next to him or throw a leg over him. He is willing and ready.
