Hello there! My name is Max and I am one SPECIAL pooch! Have a seat and let me tell you my story. I was found about a year and a half ago wandering in a rural area. A good Samaritan took me in and gave me to Stop the Suffering. The people are so nice and good to me, but I really want a forever home. I have been placed in a couple of homes, but they didnt work out because I had some issues. I dont really like small kids (kids over 9 yrs of age please) because I dont like my back legs pulled on at all. I also can have a stubborn streak in me and can get testy when asked to do something I dont want to do. My foster mom says that I need a home with people that have dog experience. My foster mom tells me that I need to make sure that you understand that my sweet disposition and need to snuggle a lot FAR outweigh my bad habits. My foster mom has had me the longest and has gotten to know me really well. She says I am a sweet, sweet boy with a lot of good things to offer to the right home. I like to chase cats a little but would never hurt them. I love other dogs and am very social with all of them. I think I would like a home with another dog best. That way I have someone to play with all of the time. I also love to go out in the back yard and explore so I hope you have a fenced yard for me to play in. I cant wait to meet you! Max's adoption fee is $200, which includes all vetting (spay/neuter, all vaccinations including rabies, heartworm test & started on prevention), started on flea/tick prevention and a leash & collar.
