Date Listed: Jul-21-08 Faith is our 1 year old, red nosed, white female Pit Bull (born June 2007). She was raised with our other LandSharks since she was 8 weeks old. Unfortunately, now that she is a woman and having her own litters, our veteran (LandSharks Lacey Jo) is competing for first place dominant female. For the well being (psychologically and physically) we have chose to re-home her. It is important that any inquiries be aware of her current mental condition. She has been socially confused because the conflict with Lacey. She is not human or animal agressive, however, she is not quick to trust. Because she has a 6 week old litter, right now she is also very protective. I dont want to make her sound like a troublesome dog, because she is not. She just needs an owner (preferably without several other animals) that will regain trust and confidence for her. Faith HAS been around children since we have owned her, however, she should not be trusted around younger children. This is only because of her inability to trust since shes had her puppies. She has never bitten anyone, but we (as responsible owners) would prefer no children in the home just in case this distrust issue is NOT because of her litter. When our children are close to the whelping bed or her pups she has a wide eyed watch on them. This is enough to make us confident in this preference. Faith also does better with males rather than females. She is un-spayed (which could solve majority of her female dominance) and is able to have more litters for those who may be interested in breeding. Our preference for ideal inquiries would be; but are not limited to; -Having her spayed -No children in the home -No other pets in the home -NOT an outside dog (no acceptions) -In the country would suit best Screening and reference checks will be astablished prior to ownership. Pictures can be seen on our "Present Sire and Dam" page. Additional pictures are available upon request. Keep in mind, she has just had a litter so she is looking a bit rough for the moment. Rehabilitation would be easy for someone who is experienced and dedicated to the breed. LandShark's Faith Biscuit, is free to an approved home.
