The Field Marketing team at Chippery is looking for Field Service Representatives to take approved programs and processes and implement them at the grocery retailers. This role requires interaction with the Field Team Leader, as well as with a specific group of customers within their territory. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal and coaching skills and a desire to be on the front-line interacting with the customer. The Role - Implement and oversee store-level marketing & merchandising programs (store openings, price promos, employee incentive programs, cross promotions, sampling, etc.)
- Coach store associates on producing the best quality potato chips, merchandising the product, sampling and interacting with store shoppers to engage them in the Chippery experience
- Build relationships with store managers and department managers (e.g., deli/bakery)
- Research and gather retail snack food industry information
- Produce store performance reports (QC, merchandising, store sales)
- Prepare store performance analyses, identify gaps, recommend programs and processes that lead to continuous improvement and profitability; review same with store management
- Audit retail skills / capabilities of store staff, as well as product quality
- Review inventory status of raw ingredients, finished product and other supplies
- Ultimately, the primary objective of this role is to maximize retail sales
Profile - 3-5 years of grocery and/or food service experience
- 2-3 years of store-level retail marketing/merchandising experience
- University degree, preferably in marketing, business or similar field
- Commitment to client service and relationship building
- Average skill in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Innovative, with a keen interest to learn and challenge the status quo
- Excellent, demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail
- Interacts well with people, and enjoys doing so
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Energetic self-starter with problem solving abilities
- Detail-oriented and efficient
- Good written and oral communication skills – must be able to demonstrate
- Good project management skills
- Reliable, punctual, delivers on commitments
- Ability to project calm demeanour while under pressure
